We have a competition in Denver this weekend, and I'm personally pumped. I love competition—it's the thing that has kept me in martial arts for 30 years. I love everything about it: the preparation, the anxiety and stress I feel just before an event, the rivalries and relationships I build. All of it. Competition reinforces my "why," my purpose.
