How I Manage Life, Work, and Training Without Losing My Mind

If you really know me, you know this: I’m insanely busy.

My wife and I run a martial arts studio full-time. I also work as a contractor. And I sell real estate.

We have two energetic kids and two even more energetic dogs. A few cats. Some chickens. It’s a circus over here. And somehow, I’m also a member of the U.S. National Karate Team, training to represent our country this October in Trier, Germany. So the question I get all the time is: “How do you do it?” How do I juggle all this and still find the energy to train, eat clean, stay disciplined, and push for my goals? Here’s the truth:I don’t have a choice.

Our gym is still young—under two years old—and while it’s growing, it’s not yet paying all the bills. Contracting and real estate keep us afloat, but they demand constant hustle. There’s no such thing as clocking out. But training isn’t optional.Eating clean isn’t optional.Rest and recovery—while rare—aren’t optional either. So how do I make it happen?

Discipline + Desire. That’s the formula. I want this life. I’ve chosen this life. I made it a priority. Is it hard? Absolutely.Do I want to quit some days? For sure.Do I feel like I could be doing even more? Constantly. But when your goals become your priority, meeting the demands of life stops being a question of “how” and becomes a matter of “when.”

🎯 Your Priorities Shape Your Life

Whatever you focus on, grows.Where you put your energy, your life follows.

If you want change—real, permanent change—you have to prioritize it.You have to center it. Feed it. Obsess over it. Look at any top-tier athlete, writer, or entrepreneur. They made a decision: “This matters.”And they went all in.

💥 The Cost of Growth

Of course, there’s a cost. My real estate business isn’t where it could be.Some friendships have suffered. My writing and web projects are sitting on the back burner.

It’s not perfect. But this is the grind of greatness. I believe I’ll find the formula eventually.

Until then? We struggle. We adapt. We pivot. We keep going.

Some people are content to stay comfortable. But others… the ones with fire in their soul…We need the challenge. We thrive in the pursuit.

That fire? You’ve got to stoke it. Every. Single. Day.
